Reuse the Tube Challenge

 

As the popularity of bicycles continue to increase around the world, particularly since Covid, the number of inner tubes that get tossed away is increasing exponentially. It is estimated that there are over 1 billion bikes on the planet. Recent research estimate that 152,500,000 inner tubes are sent to landfills every year in the UK alone.(1)

Since bicycle tubes cannot be recycled like plastic, there are limited number of uses for discarded bicycle tubes. Ideas for how to use these tubes are few and far between. Kaden & Kai is one of several businesses around the world looking to tackle this problem.

 

Our Mission

Since 2019, our mission has been to extend the life of materials that can be recycled and repurposed. In April 2020, we launched the Kaden & Kai Bicycle Tube Bracelet Collection to make use of damaged bicycle tubes.

What You Can Do
